Watermark

Inspiring a Return to the Office

A Complete Modernization

Watermark is a newly renovated Class A office oasis perfectly situated on the Willamette River and adjacent to the world-class amenities of South Waterfront. This serene setting offers flexible office space and outdoor access unlike anything in the urban core.

The Art of Repositioning

Ownership was making a significant investment in upgrading all of the public exterior and interior amenity spaces and overall user experience. The prime location along the waterfront made the campus deserving of a new name and identity and a grand reintroduction to the marketplace. Working hand in hand with LRS architects, we collaborated to bring the vision of revitalization to life.

Designing An Exceptional Experience

To create a brand experience that could elevate the property into its new era, our goals were threefold: enhance curb appeal; design hospitality-inspired public spaces; and improve wayfinding and movement through the site, all the while creating surprises and unexpected moments.

With its waterfront setting and “Scandinavian meets PNW” aesthetic, we sought to create a clean water-inspired brand, identity and palette as well as custom minimalistic graphics depicting a fresh take on popular Oregon landmarks.

The Great Wall of Watermark

Our biggest design challenge came in the form of a literal wall. We were tasked with custom curating, designing and overseeing the installation of the double-story bookcase which is the focal point of the lobby remodel. Working from LRS's original vision for the wall, we expanded our design chops and ingenuity to procure, create and commission oversized artwork from local artists. When we could not find exactly what we were looking for, we got creative with 3-D printing.

From monument signage to branded decorative accents, and custom wall coverings to wayfinding solutions we wove the brand throughout the entire property inside and out. The website and elevated broker materials have resulted in an almost fully occupied building, inspiring a return to the office.
